One of the most frequent questions I am asked about this way of eating is this- what do you have for breakfast then? My sister and I were discussing it this morning and I remembered slipping a variety pack of cereal into my mother’s shopping trolley circa 1967. Needless to say it was removed at the till! Back in my childhood, we had a cooked breakfast most mornings even though my parents both worked full time and had 5 children. Nowadays, most people seem to have either nothing, or cereal or toast and they forget that none of these will give a child enough nutrients to last for the morning. This can easily result in poor concentration and poor behaviour.
So I recommend a good protein source for your breakfast like eggs, or meat or fish or cheese.
